For over four months Biden administration has been trying to figure out how to continue to help our key ally in their fight for freedom. America used to be Ukraine’s key ally against Russian desire to conquer it and other ex-Soviet states. But since arrival of Johnson as the speaker of the House of Representatives, it has been impossible to help Ukraine. At the same time China, Iran and North Korea have opened their war chests to Russia and even send troops there to help Russia.
It seemed like a smart strategy, tie the aid to Ukraine ot immigration and force Biden to solve immigration. And yet, no matter what Biden does on immigration, GOP will not budge and will not sign. Why? Because it was never about immigration, it was about ending help to Ukraine and helping Putin conquer it.
The entire platform of GOP is that Democrats are weak on immigration and want this country over run with immigrants. Their sales pitch is if you want immigration solved, elect Republicans. So if that is the case, imagine what would happen if Biden solved a bill that “solved immigration” and gave everything that Republicans wanted. Republicans would be unelectable and one of their key sales points will be gone.
This is why no matter what they propose to Biden and no matter what Biden agrees to on immigration, they will never sign and vote for it. So why tie aid to Ukraine to something they know that will never pass? Because the point of tying it to immigration is to ensure end of aid to Ukraine.
But why? Is it because it is too expensive? No./ We destroyed half of Russian army with a few billion dollars that we gave to Ukraine. Would ending aid to Ukraine end the war? No, Russia has ramped up shell production to two million a year while America still can’t get to half of a million. Russia is planning for a long war because once it decided to conquer Ukraine, it won’t stop.
So why? Because Trump was humiliated by Zelensky. Zelensky refusing to investigate Biden Jr. Lead to impeachment. This is payback. Trump is the frontline candidate and if Johnson wants to stay in power he needs to make Trump happy, and to make Trump happy means destroying a nation of 30 million people and to do that means ending all aid to it.
GOP has been offered many plans for immigration. Plans that were more comprehensive and went further than they ever imagined, and they didn’t just say no, they said they will say no no matter what is in the plan. Because it was never about immigration, it is about helping Trump help Putin murder thousands of people and destroy a free nation in Europe, because Trump never forgets.
